about me

Hi, I'm Manuel

your Spanish teacher

Spanish is more than a language to me — it’s a way of connecting with people, cultures, and yourself. I’m from Peru, I hold a certificate from Instituto Cervantes in Kraków, and for over 7 years I’ve been teaching Spanish to students in Poland, Spain, Italy, Germany, and beyond.

I teach living Spanish — the kind people actually speak on the other side of the ocean.

Why the name Español Chévere?

Chévere is one of my favourite words. In Peru and across much of Latin America it means “great, awesome, chill” — as everyday as saying “cool” in English. In Spain? You’d hardly ever hear it.

I chose it because it perfectly captures how I teach: no tension, no walls between teacher and student, just joy and real conversation.

Free minds, no walls. That’s not just a motto — it’s my entire approach.

how I work

My professional background goes well beyond the classroom. I hold a degree in social communication and have worked in marketing and tourism — three fields that shaped my teaching philosophy.

  • Communication taught me to think critically.
  • Marketing showed me that authenticity always beats surface-level performance.
  • Tourism proved that collaboration gets better results than competition.

These experiences all led me to one conclusion: real education changes your perspective, not just your vocabulary.
